What a striking design! I can't even begin to imagine how long it took you to complete it. May I ask how many shades of colors did you use?
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilling!
Manuela
Hi Manuela,
DeleteTry it, its easier than it looks. At least I take much less time than for a floral design. Follow my tute and have a go.Just pick an easy pic for the first one. Paste the quills close so that you can't see the background.
I used red, red/orange blend, orange, orange, light yellow blend, light yellow for the sky.
Butter yellow, orange/butter yellow blend for the sun
Dark/light orange blend, Dark orange, light orange for the water.
And butter yellow for the reflection of sun on the water.
Wow! beautiful! The time, effort and patience was all worthwhile!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kurlikins. It took me about 8 hours which is far less than what it takes me to quill flowers!! Since you don't need to worry about sizes and symetry quilling landscapes takes me much less time than floral designs!! My nemesis is gumming!! I manage to even get the forceps stuck!!
DeleteOh my, this is a perfect sunset, congrats! You have so beautiful ideas :)
ReplyDeleteI love the way it turned out. Wanted to experiment with blending and was glad it worked out
